The story of Sanjay Dutt and the harmless criminal

The media simply cannot stop talking about this man. They followed him right from his home to the TADA Court in Mumbai to the Yerwada jail in Pune to the Supreme Court till back home to Mumbai. However I was a bit perturbed when I read this one on the web where he said spending Diwali in Jail was a sad part (of his life). Damn it, here is a man who was jailed for an offence as serious as possessing AK-56s (alright we know he was absolved of criminal conspiracy charges in the Bombay Bomb Blast Case) is casually making this statement, as if to mean he was in prison for absolutely no fault of his. Anyways, this is India’s most celebrated criminal for you.

Nevertheless, the story of Sanjay Dutt and the harmless criminal still continues to amaze all of us.

PS: No offence intended. I still love Vaastav and the Munnabhai series.

Dumped and gone!!

If the selectors can give Agarkar chances for over 10 years, then why not Sreesanth? Another classic case of poor selection.

Violation thy name Usman Road!!

“Violation thy name Usman Road”

Just happened to read this news article on the Hindu and was wondering whether anyone has got the balls to take action against these Textile giants. One thing for sure, unless something major happens no one is going to wake up and take action.

Assuming a fire breaks out at Pothys that too during a peak time like Diwali when thousands are shopping, the amount of devastation that would be caused is unimaginable. With the kind of traffic that is seen on Usman Road/ Doraiswamy Road, forget the jumbo sized fire engines, not even a single ambulance can squeeze in for aid.

The Hindu has dilegently provided the figures as regards the action taken by the CMDA, but is anyone taking note of this?

And not to talk about car/ vehicle parking. From my experience staying in Delhi, I realised that every Mall, every Multiplex, every shopping centre (like Palika) have an underground parking/ other parking lots. This would atleast ensure that vehicles are not parked on the roads, thereby facilitating smooth movement of vehicles.

Hope something is done before something really bad happens.
